Jennifer Kempton will share her experience as a survivor of sex trafficking in Columbus, Ohio, and how she founded Survivor’s Ink, an organization that helps survivors overcome the painful reminders of their past by offering cover-up tattoos or “de-branding,” removal of brandings or scars received while being trafficked. Film/Video professor Pearl Gluck will show a sneak peek of her work-in-progress film The Turn Out, also set in Ohio and created in collaboration with survivors. Kempton is working with Gluck on her next film.
